From 2004~2017, Dr. Lam was Council Member of UNA China.

On 4 February 2011, Dr. Lam the then Deputy Secratary of UN Dr. Sha Chao Kang in New York UN Headquarter.

On 14 June 2022, Dr. Lam received the Certificate of Appreciation in UNHCR Headquarter Geneva.
